IR, RF and IP Control

IR IR, or Infra-Red, is the standard form of communication between remote and device. This will require pointing directly at the device. It is the default installation, and what you most likely have on your current remotes.

RF RF, or Radio Frequency, is control without aiming or pointing at devices. This allows for control from any room in the house, and for your devices to be stashed away in a cabinet or closet, and out of sight.

IP IP, or Internet Protocol, is control over your home network. This will allow for integration between your remote and your computers and media servers. Remotes like the MX-6000 can use this to display content on its screen.
